How to give the job to the best candidate in your company?
Anyone who wants to hire a person for the job must have a very clear ability to define all the work that is to perform in the job.
When a company is very clear about the jobs a candidate should do.
They should create situations/tests to know precisely the qualities of the candidate related to all the jobs that the candidate has to do.
They should be able to measure their skills, attitude n learnability
These are the few simple steps by which you will always get a good candidate.
For example, my company is a learning company.
My company helps people to learn language skills, soft skills, business skills, and life skills.
I need trainers who can do
1. need assessment of the trainees or students
2. They should be able to offer training solutions/ courses
3. Deliver the training effectively.
4 They should be able to measure the growth and development of the students/trainees
5. They should be able to collect the fees.
6. they should be able to market the different courses that the company creates
if I can create some situations where I can measure these above-mentioned skills then I can invite them to join my company
This is how it should work.
But most of the time it doesn't happen. The company goes for quick fixes, they find out candidates from highly reputed institutes with great degrees. They pay them more than they deserve. they take fat loans from banks to pay their employees. They do not know how to take work from them. They do not create good teams and so slowly but surely company fails in the long run
You should never judge a candidate by the degree...
A degree doesn't show the skills n attitude that are required to do the job perfectly. Unfortunately, government organizations in India, and most of the corporates in India or other parts of the world do not follow these simple steps.
So there is no company growth and personal growth in company employees feel frustrated. Many people suffer from career disappointments. There are great companies like Google that follow these steps so they do not link jobs with certificates.
