“તમને તમારા દેશનું ભવિષ્ય કેવું લાગે છે?” "How do you feel about the future of your country?"

 

દુબઈને દુનિયાના નકશામાં 

એક આગવી વિશિષ્ટ ઓળખ અપાવનાર 

શેખ રશીદને પત્રકારે પ્રશ્ન પૂછ્યો:

“તમને તમારા દેશનું ભવિષ્ય કેવું લાગે છે?” 

શેખ રશીદે જવાબ આપ્યો તેને બહુ ધ્યાનથી સમજવા જેવો છે. તેમાં આધુનિક સમયના યુવાનો માટે બહુ મોટો ગર્ભિત સંદેશ સમાયેલો છે. 

જવાબ વાંચો...

“મારા દાદા ઊંટ ચલાવતા.

મારા પિતા પણ ઊંટ પર સવારી કરતા.  

હું મર્સિડિઝમાં બેસું છું. 

મારો પુત્ર લેન્ડ રોવરમાં ફરે છે.  

મારો પૌત્ર પણ લેન્ડરોવરમાં અથવા 

તેથી ય મોંઘી અને આધુનિક સુવિધાઓવાળી  

કારમાં ફરશે.    

પરંતુ……

મને ખાત્રી છે કે 

મારો પ્રપૌત્ર પુન:  

ઊંટ પર સવારી કરશે...!!!"

પત્રકારને આશ્ચર્ય થયું. 

કોઈને પણ આશ્ચર્ય જ થાય એવો જવાબ હતો. 

કુબેરનો ભંડાર ધરાવતો ભંડારી 

આવું શા માટે કહે...???

પત્રકારે સામો પ્રશ્ન કર્યો: 

“તમે એવું કેમ કહો છો?”

હવે શેખ રશીદ જે સાહજીકતાથી જવાબ આપે છે

એ ખરેખર સમજવા જેવો છે. 

શેખ રશીદ ઉત્તર આપતાં કહે છે:

"સંઘર્ષ અને મુશ્કેલીઓ 

મજબૂત માણસો પેદા કરે છે. 

મજબૂત માણસો પોતાના સામર્થ્યથી,   

સમય અને જીવન બંનેને આસાન બનાવી દે છે.  

તકલીફો વિનાની સરળ જિંદગી 

નિર્બળ માણસો પેદા કરે છે.    

નિર્બળ માણસો સમયને 

સમજવામાં ઊણા ઊતરે છે   

અને  

તેઓ જીવનમાં મુશ્કેલીઓને નિમંત્રે છે.   

આવી પડેલી આપત્તિઓનો 

સામનો કરવાની સમજણ ન હોય તેવા  

પોતાની પાસે જે કાંઈ હોય 

તે પણ ગુમાવી બેસે છે.

આપણે બળવાન યોદ્ધા પેદા કરવા જોઈએ 

નહીં કે પરજીવી"

  

શેખ રશીદનું આ વિધાન 

આજની ટેકનોલોજીની સગવડમાં 

કોઈપણ જાતની અગવડ વગર 

ઉછરી રહેલી અને જીવી રહેલી 

આધુનિક પેઢી માટે Eye Opener છે. 

આધુનિકતાથી પોષણ પામતા સંતાનોને

આપણે જે મુશ્કેલીઓનો સામનો કરવો પડેલો, 

તેનાથી તેઓને દૂર રાખવાના મોહમાં,  

શક્ય તેટલી વધુ સુવિધાઓ પૂરી પાડીએ છીએ  

અને અન્ય પર અવલંબિત રહીને 

જીવન જીવતાં શિખવાડીએ  છીએ. 

પરિણામે તેઓ સ્વયંની શક્તિથી,  

સ્વયંની સમજણથી,  

સ્વયંની કુનેહથી કે   

સ્વયંની આવડત અને હોંશિયારીથી

વિકાસ કે સફળતાના પગથિયાં 

ચડવાનું સામર્થ્ય ગુમાવી બેસે છે.

 

સંક્ષેપમાં...

આ કારણોથી જ 

આપણે શક્તિમાન નહીં પણ    

નિર્બળ વારસદારો તથા 

નેતાઓ પેદા કરી રહ્યા છીએ.

The journalist was surprised.

It was an answer that would have surprised anyone.

"Why do you say that?"

Now Sheikh Rasheed who answers intuitively

It is really understandable.

Shaykh Rasheed replies:

Produces strong men.

Produces weak men.

Weak men at times

It is difficult to understand

And

They invite troubles in life.
